Tutoring Details
The sessions will meet for two hours per day, Monday thru Thursday. Small homework assignments will be assigned each day to ensure the students are on track. There are two possible time slots:
- 4:30-6:30 pm
- 6:40-8:40 pm (FULL)
Tutoring fee
- $300 per week for private sessions
- If you have friends who would like to be in the same session together, the rate will decrease by $50 per person, with a minimum price of $150 per week and a maximum number of five students. I have chosen to reduce prices for additional students because group learning is so beneficial. This will also get your child excited about tutoring if they know they'll see their friends everyday. This would look like:
- 2 people: $250/wk per person
- 3 people: $200/wk per person
- 4 people: $150/wk per person
- 5 people: $150/wk per person
Required materials:
- Pens or pencils
- A notebook in order to take handwritten notes
- The textbook, hardcopy or electronic, for homework assignments, and general referencing
I would love to use the textbook your child will be using in their future course. If this is not possible for any reason, I have pre-selected textbooks that will work well. Either way, a lesson plan will be mapped out for your child to ensure the material can be adequately covered. I strongly encourage your student taking handwritten notes during sessions, as the act of writing down the material forces the brain to process what it is taking in. This being said, I will also make my powerpoints available to the students so they can reference them throughout the school year. In order to ensure material is being understood, around five questions of homework will be assigned each day.
I will accept payment in cash, check, or I can invoice you on Venmo. Payment will be at the beginning of each week (Mondays), and once the first week's payment is received, your spot will be secured.
This is a nine week program beginning June 17th. Due to the amount of material, missing class will reduce the amount of material covered. If you miss tutoring sessions, a reduced amount of material will be covered over the summer. If you would like to cover the whole book, the full nine weeks are necessary.
